Level 3 Diploma in Business Management

This course provides essential knowledge for those students who wish to progress to a business management career. This course provides learners with opportunities to:

  • Study key leadership styles and how to handle workplace conflict.
  • Understand how teams can be managed effectively, and recognise team development stages.

This course is perfect for those who are looking to work in business management or those who are already working in a commercial environment as managers and want to increase their knowledge. The course covers a vast array of principles and techniques for managing, maintaining and getting the best out of staff and assets in business environments.

Course Entry Requirements

  • There are no requirements for starting this course
  • Learner must be 19 years or older at the beginning of the course
  • A basic English level may be required for this programme

Duration

Level 3 in Business Management

  • Guided Learning Hours (GLH):   90 hours
  • Total Qualification Time (TQT):   110 hours

How is the Course Assessed?

The Center assesses all units within this qualification internally. Qualifications are referenced criterion, based on achieving all of the specified learning outcomes.
To achieve a 'pass' for a unit, learners must provide evidence to show that they have met all of the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all of the evaluation criteria. The Assessor makes a judgement that the learners have met the assessment criteria successfully.
The Assessor should provide an audit trail showing how the overall achievement of the judgement of the learners has been achieved.

Course Progression

Once the course is successfully completed, The Candidates may progress to:

  • Level 4 in Business Management

To receive the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocationally Achievement, learners must obtain a minimum of 15 credits:

  • The ability to read and use appropriate literature with a full and critical understanding the ability to think independently and solve problems
  • Applying subject knowledge and understanding to address familiar and unfamiliar problems
  • Recognising the moral and ethical issues of business practice and research; appreciating the need for ethical standards and professional codes of conduct
  • An appreciation of the interdisciplinary nature of business and service provision
  • Capacity to give a clear and accurate account of a subject, in a mature way and engage in debate and dialogue both with specialists and non-specialists.
  • To develop transferable skills and knowledge.
  • To motivate individuals to progress to further professional development through future study or as part of their chosen career.
