Level 3 Award in Deliveries of Conflict Management Training

This level 3 Conflict Management qualification is designed to meet the requirements of the Security Industry Authority (SIA) for private security industry training providers. It is appropriate for all sectors where the possibility of conflict may arise and is approved by the SIA as an appropriate qualification for those wishing to provide conflict management as part of the licence-related qualifications.

Who is the course for?

It is suitable for delivery in a variety of fields and is particularly beneficial to those who provide customer-oriented training. It is also in accordance with the requirements of the Security Industry Authority, including scenario-based conflict management training, door supervision and other frontline personnel, for licencing practitioners.

Course Entry Requirements

  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF or equivalent)
  • Level 3 or 4 Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector
  • Learner must be 19 years or older at the beginning of the course
  • A basic English level may be required for this programme

Duration

Level 3 Award in Deliveries of Conflict Management Training

  • Guided Learning Hours (GLH):   32 hours
  • Total Qualification Time (TQT):   43 hours

How is the Course Assessed?

The Center assesses all units within this qualification internally. Qualifications are referenced criterion, based on achieving all of the specified learning outcomes.
To achieve a 'pass' for a unit, learners must provide evidence to show that they have met all of the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all of the evaluation criteria. The Assessor makes a judgement that the learners have met the assessment criteria successfully.
The Assessor should provide an audit trail showing how the overall achievement of the judgement of the learners has been achieved.

Course Progression

Once the course is successfully completed, The Candidates may progress to:

  • Level 3 Award for Deliverers of Physical Intervention Training
  • Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (RQF)

To receive the Level 3 award in deliveries of conflict management training, learners must obtain a minimum of 4 credits:

  • Know good practice to follow after conflict situations
