Preparation course for the B2 Secure English Language Test (SELT)

This course is designed for upper intermediate learners designed for students who already have a high level of English, upper-intermediate teaches the learner a clear understanding of complex texts. Leaner will be able to express himself correctly in all forms of past tenses and to perfect their use of adverbs and prepositions. They will also continue to enhance their vocabulary and improve their ability to produce fluid speech in an improvised way.
Who is the course for?
This course is suitable for upper-intermediate independent learners. Who already have a high level knowledge in English.

- There is no specific requirement to this course but we recommend B1 Level of English Language

How is the Course Assessed?
The Center assesses all units within this qualification internally. Qualifications are referenced criterion, based on achieving all of the specified learning outcomes.
To achieve a 'pass' for a unit, learners must provide evidence to show that they have met all of the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all of the evaluation criteria. The Assessor makes a judgement that the learners have met the assessment criteria successfully.
The Assessor should provide an audit trail showing how the overall achievement of the judgement of the learners has been achieved.

The Learner
- Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization.
- Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.
- Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
The Learner
- Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialisation.
