Level 2 Award in Fire Safety for Fire Marshalls
This qualification is an ideal introduction to fire safety awareness for employees and a strong basis for continuing fire safety training. The qualification offers students an understanding of the key fire safety principles from cause to prevention and action.
This qualification is intended for those who are looking to take on the role of a fire marshal in the workplace. This course is designed to meet essential workplace fire safety legal requirements. It will also provide training for those tasked with Fire Marshal or Fire Warden roles.
Who is the course for?
This qualification is intended for those who are looking to take on the role of a fire marshal in the workplace. This includes managers, supervisors, team leaders, fire officers (marshals) and staff working in any area where there is a potential fire risk.
Course Entry Requirements
- Learner must be 19 years or older at the beginning of the course
- A basic English level may be required for this programme
Duration
Level 2 Award in Fire Safety for Fire Marshalls
- Guided Learning Hours (GLH): 6 hours
- Total Qualification Time (TQT): 6 hours
How is the Course Assessed?
The Center assesses all units within this qualification internally. Qualifications are referenced criterion, based on achieving all of the specified learning outcomes.
To achieve a 'pass' for a unit, learners must provide evidence to show that they have met all of the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all of the evaluation criteria. The Assessor makes a judgement that the learners have met the assessment criteria successfully.
The Assessor should provide an audit trail showing how the overall achievement of the judgement of the learners has been achieved.

- Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace
To receive the level 2 award in fire safety for fire marshals, learners must obtain a minimum of 1 credit:
